Our Story

The story of First Baptist Church of Basehor began in May of 1925 when a small group of believers began meeting in the Basehor House.

In 1927 (January) the group began meeting in their first building which consisted of two lots facing Hickory that was purchased January 1926.

Then in 1945 (September) - the church occupied the building at 155th Terr & Hickory St in Basehor.

In 1977 (March) the church purchased 5 acres of land where our current footprint still lies at 1410 N. 155th St in Basehor. The original building was built and occupied in April of 1980 and was added onto in 2008.

Basehor has evolved in recent years from a small, rural, town consisting of mainly farmers and ranchers, to a fast-growing diverse community.

Our church has experienced great growth over the last year with people of all ages and backgrounds coming to be a part of what God is doing. God has truly blessed us with the most amazing, godly, people who love the Bible and love to be part of this community. Our goal is to bless others by being a light in our community and throughout the world to shine the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

We would love for you to come see all that God is doing here at FBC Basehor!
